10 Promises the BJP Has Made to Bihar in Vision Document Released Today


New Delhi:  The BJP’s vision for Bihar comes bound in a 14-page booklet that has on the cover Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah and some state party leaders. It focuses on farmers, students, women and the underprivileged.




Here are 10 promises the Bharatiya Janata Party has made in its Vision Document


  1. A cow breeding directorate or Gau Palan Nidesalaya will be set up and all cow shelters or gosahala in the state will be revamped, the BJP has promised.

  2. For anyone to be eligible for a government loan, he or she must have a toilet at home.

  3. The state will have a separate Budget every year for agriculture. The agriculture ministry will be renamed Agriculture and Farmer Welfare Ministry.

  4. More universities and law colleges will be built in the state under Private-Public Partnership. About 50,000 meritorious students will be given laptops every year. 5,000 girl students, who score well will get scooties. Education loans will be given on only 3 per cent interest.

  5. Patna, Gaya, Bhagalpur and Muzaffarpur will be developed at coaching hubs.

  6. The party promises cheaper loans for the technical and professional education of women

  7. The BJP has promised colour TVs for Dalits and Mahadalits – the most underprivileged of the population. Atal Medicine Centres will provide medicines at a discounted rate.

  8. It promises a secure Bihar; a police commissionerate in every town with a population of over five lakh, and CCTVs in all police stations.

  9. Five decimel or about 2,000 sq feet land for the landless in the state to build homes.

  10. The families of people killed by criminals and in Naxal or terror related incidents will be given Rs two lakhs.
