Indian Killed After Shots Fired At Boat Off Gujarat Coast

Ahmedabad:  Pakistan’s coast guard fired upon a boat with Indian fishermen in international waters today off the Gujarat coast. One person on board, identified as Iqbal from Porbandar, has been killed.

The boat, named Prem Raj, had set sail from the port of Okha in Gujarat with five people on board on September 8.


Pakistan’s maritime security agency or MSA fired at the boat early on Friday morning.


The Indian Coast Guard has rushed two ships, the Vijit and the Meeraben to investigate the incident and launch a search operation, said sources.
